DrawBINGO Sounds Help

Everybody (usually) loves a little sound now and then.  Below is an explanation of some of the main features, and even what you can do if you don't like sounds being played while chatting.

01. In-Chat Sounds
02. Caller Sounds
03. Event Sounds

In-Chat Sounds

These are sounds that can be played while you are chatting.  Note that you must have the sound file downloaded on your computer, and for anyone else to hear it they must have it downloaded also.

Chat sounds need to be placed in the c:\Program Files\DrawBINGO\Sounds folder for them to be used (or replace c:\Program Files\DrawBINGO with the location you installed DrawBINGO to).  They can only be in wave (.wav) format.  Click here for some pages to download wave files from.

Once they are downloaded, you can play them in chat by typing [wavename], where the wavename is the name of the wave file, without the .wav extension.  You'll probably see how it can be used in chat dialog if you visit some of the chat rooms.  Enjoy!

Caller Sounds

Currently there is only one "number pack", which is included when you download the game.  We're currently looking into getting a female and other callers, and they will be released as completed.  If you would like to make your own number pack, check out the format of the default one in c:\Program Files\DrawBINGO\Numbers\Default.  They are just wave files from 1.wav to 75.wav.

To select a number pack, just go to Options, then Number Packs, then Default (or whatever one is there).

Event Sounds

Event sounds are sounds that can be played when just about anything happens during play, like the game ending, starting, etc.  You will need to have sounds downloaded into your Sounds directory ("c:\Program Files\DrawBINGO\Sounds" by default).  Then, you can associate sounds with events by going to Options, then Preferences, and clicking on the Sounds tab.
